Leadership

Student Leadership is high on the agenda at High Arcal School and our pupils are quick to seize upon any opportunity to demonstrate their leadership skills.

 

A group of year 9 pupils asked if they could use Living Eggs as such an opportunity.

The pupils arranged the order through a member of staff. They looked after the chicks during their stay, organising a rota of jobs to be done during the 2 weeks including weekend caring.

​

They also asked if they could teach lessons to year 7 science groups using the chicks as their subject matter. They planned 2 lessons, including resources, and delivered them.

​

All of the pupils involved, Yr 7 and 9 thoroughly enjoyed the experience and got a great deal from it.
